In 2018, 2 moms (who would be empty nesters in the near future) met and discovered they shared a love for crafting.  Our kids had only a few years left in high school and pretty soon our schedules would be free, and we would fill all of that newly found free time with crafting.  Once we had made all of these crafts, what would we do with them?  We decided we should start up a small business so that we could share all of these creations with others.

We also couldn’t decide what crafts we wanted to focus on.  We love making so many different items who can choose just a few.  So, we set out to start this business and sell our wares at local craft fairs and online.

Sounds simple, right?  Not so much.

Somehow, when our kids graduated high school and went off to college and their careers, our schedules may have actually gotten busier.  Life has a weird way of thwarting even the best laid plans.  We have faced several obstacles including family issues, kids’ college sports schedules, kids moving in and out of our homes, injuries, illnesses and even cancer made an unwanted appearance.  These speedbumps have derailed us a bit, but we have handled and survived it all so far.  All while trying to keep this little business alive.  We both work full time jobs and do this in our spare time, hoping this will one day be something we can do full time during our retirements.  (Even better if we can retire early to do this full time!)

Bottom line, our business ebbs and flows with life, even our product line goes through growth and changes.  We still have our popular products available, but we like to dabble with new ideas as well.

We have a particular focus on upcycling items to give them new life and keep them out of the landfill.  Many of our candle containers are recycled for a second use, wine corks and even empty mint tins are recycled into something fun and useful.  We also upcycle clothing that has come to the end of its wearable life, and next we are attempting to refurbish jewelry boxes!  You never know what we will attempt to upcycle next!

We love to make people laugh and we offer humorous or snarky versions of several products.  One of the most fun parts of this venture is hearing the laughter when customers visit our booth.  It’s so nice to know that something we made put a smile on another’s face.  The world needs more laughter, and we love contributing to that however small.

We welcome you all to join us on this journey as we search for our crafting identity.  We may never find it or maybe this craft ADHD IS our identity.  Who knows? But we do know this, we will sure have fun trying to figure it out.
